Idle No More calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water. Colonization continues through attacks to Indigenous rights and damage to the land and water. We must repair these violations, live the spirit and intent of the treaty relationship, work towards justice in action, and protect Mother Earth.
The writing is taken from a site called http://www.idlenomore.com/ IDLE NO MORE.
The woman will show us all how to keep up the motion – the energy of the movement… this movement must empower healthy change and the strength, will and indomitable spirit in each of us to be the success we all need within this society.
Mainstream society must be willing to confront – challenge – address and heal their won embedded intolerance of too many of us.
Together – we must walk to the same heart beat and by this – we must be able to freely hear, understand our feeling and our sense of justice… of wrongs done to us and to our society. Then we must choose together – freedom.
Idle no more is about empowerment and not about fighting or protesting to be angry or hurtful… no. No more victimhood!
I have always maintained that we – ourselves – are our own greatest oppressors.
Rise up people – rise up men and follow the woman to be idle no more!
