Education / Training
The greatest teachers that Ive had are my Ina and Ate, my mother and father and my family of origin. I honor them all and those count- less others who interacted with me throughout my life. I have come to know and so I always keep in mind that it is very important for each of us as helpers, healers, parents, teachers, to heal our past in order that we are make good healthy sense and use of one's life's ex- periences and history.
I include some my trainings. I also include ones which I found to be **extremely questionable**. I chose to actually "experience" some of these questionable forms of "helping", first-hand and without pre-judgment in order, that I could make a more informative analysis of the program abd the person running them, As well as the techniques, methodology and philosophy, also view the "participants" or followers and their outcomes. These programs are marked with **asteriks** Do not do them.

Martial Arts / Self-Defense
With 40 years experience in Martial Arts, I have Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do, Sikaran, Karate and have trained and studied Boxing, Ju-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, Aikido, Kempo, Kendo, Wing Chun, Wrestling and I am trained in a range of International Security Services. I founded the first Kickboxing school in Western Canada. I have taught martial arts, self-defense and fitness for over 40 years.
Community Service I founded and ran inner-city crime prevention program called "Maskanas - The Way". It was a program that used Martial Arts and fitness as a means to help minimize the affects of poverty and social dysfunction. I have volunteered extensively at places such as the YMCA, Riding for the Disabled, John Howard Society, Indian & Metis Friendship Center, Stony Mountain Federal Penitentiary, and North American Indigenous Games.
In 2000, in Toronto, I was hired as the head therapist at the then oldest Native American Treatment for Addictions center in Canada. It was a traditionally-based Native American healing drug and alcohol treatment center named Pedahbun Lodge. It is now closed down. Sadly and tragically, the director along with other staff, was abusing the system and clients. I made huge atempts to help her to resolve the unhealthiness. She refused and consequently, the government had to close it down for good. You may check the Toronto newspaper archives for the news reports on Pedahbun Lodge. This is included to indicate my intention to resolve concerning issues...
A T T E N T I O N *Proof of my certificates can be obtained from my listed contacts. Please feel welcomed to contact me directly by phone at; 1 - 204 - 224 - 9520 or email me. While, I have more than the required 300 hours training for the American Society of Experiential Therapist's accreditation - I am not accredited as an Experiential Therapist. I use the techniques and methods that I have acquired through the many hours of training over a 6 1/2 year period. Today, I WORK AS A TRANSFORMATIONAL GUIDE - TRACKER AND TRAINER. I provide lifeskills training and daily life discipline coaching. I am drug and alcohol free and I am open for discussing legitimate questioning of my personal, private life - from prospective clients or anyone with genuine and legitimate interests and on a quest to make a better world.
I attend various "Religions" to keep my mind and heart open to being connected to the sacredness of human beings. I am working towards a ministerial position in faith to be able to foster better relationships for all humankind.
I will always honor all my Native American Tribal bloodlines... I am honored to carry the Cannupa - the Sacred Pipe, in the way I was taught. Pilamaya - Sincerely, Jaye A. La Vallee
